- Cat Litter Boxes
What an offensive smell! Can guests tell right away that you own a cat? This will completely do away with that offensive ammonia odor. Zeolites can be used one of two ways to control cat litter box odors. First, you may fill the litter box to a depth of 2 - 3 inches and use just as any other cat litter. Remember to remove solid waste as needed and completely change litter once a week, or as needed. Second, zeolite may be used as a cat litter enhancer by placing 1 inch in the bottom of the litter box and then filling with your favorite cat litter. Always replace zeolite when changing the cat litter. Disposal: RECYCLE. When using only zeolite in the litter box it may be recycled. Disposal: TRASH If used as a cat litter enhancer, follow the disposal instructions on the bag of your regular cat litter.
- Dog & Cat Bedding
Do your pets smell soon after a bath? Check their bedding for the culprit! Eliminate odors from pet bedding by sprinkling an ample amount of zeolite over the bedding, waiting 15 minutes to an hour and then vacuuming up. For more stubborn odors, leave zeolite overnight before vacuuming. Note: To absorb odors continually, leave approximately 1/2 inch of zeolite on the bottom of pet house or cage. Disposal: TRASH
- Dog Kennels/Pens
If dogs are kept outside, their area needs care too. Sprinkle the floor with approximately 1/2 - 1 inch of zeolite to absorb ammonia odors from urine. Also, sprinkle fresh zeolite over puddles or solids as needed. Add new zeolite or replace zeolite weekly, or as needed. Disposal: RECYCLE
- Pet Accidents On Carpet, Tile Or Cement Floors
New puppies are adorable, but housebreaking can be a challenge! Works excellently to neutralize odors and absorb urine from your carpet, tile, or cement floors. Immediately sprinkle an ample amount of zeolite over the accident. The zeolite will instantly start pulling the liquid from the floor and become saturated. Let the zeolite stand until it is completely dry. Depending on the size of the accident and the amount of zeolite used, this may take up to 24 hours. Then vacuum or sweep up zeolite. Note: It is recommended that you always test an obscure piece of carpet to make sure that the color will not fade. Disposal: TRASH
- Rabbit Cages
Little bunnies sure make a big mess! Sprinkle 1/2 inch of zeolite under bedding or mix with bedding in cages to absorb odors and moisture. Replace when changing bedding material. For outside, above-ground rabbit pens, place 1/2 inch of zeolite on the ground under the pen. Add fresh zeolite weekly, or as needed. Disposal: RECYCLE
- Bird Cages
Would Polly like a clean cage? Sure she would! To make clean up easy, sprinkle 1/2 inch of zeolite in the bottom of bird cage. This will control odor and absorb moisture from droppings. Replace zeolite as needed or when cleaning bird cage. Disposal: RECYCLE
- Hamster & Mice Cages
Keep those small critters dry and happy! Sprinkle 1/4 - 1/2 inch of zeolite under the bedding material in the cage or pen. Replace with fresh zeolite when changing the bedding material. Disposal: RECYCLE
- Chicken Coops
This works great! To remove ammonia odor and wetness and create a healthier environment, sprinkle a layer of zeolite 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick on the ground of chicken coops. Replace or add new zeolite every 1 - 2 weeks. Disposal: RECYCLE
- Aquariums
Reduce odors and the time spent cleaning your fish tank by mixing zeolite granules into gravel or charcoal filter systems. Rinse zeolite first to remove any dust particles. Mix equal parts charcoal/zeolite in filtering system. If granules are too small for placement in filtering system, place approximately 1/2 oz. of zeolite in a breathable bag in the tank (1/2 oz. per 25 gallons of water). Make sure the breathable bag is safe for aquarium use. Replace when changing the filter or water. Disposal: RECYCLE
